The Wave

1.The wave is based on a true incident that occurred in a high school history class in Palo Alto California, in 1969. Somethings that are different about are school and their school is one, It is a highschool two, their are bells three, they have a news paper and four they have bouring mean teachers. I could tell it was a long time ago beacause it involved "tape players","tipewriters","filmed projecters" and "young smoking".

2.The quote that stood out to me would be "The human skeletons still alive had the gruesome task of stacking the dead under the watching eyes of the nazi soldiers. That stood out to me because they were talking about Jews and I am a Jew wich makes me very emotional because it decreased the populatin of my culture to a small percent. Also I could imagine exactly what there talking about because of the descriptive words the writer of the book chose.

3. How many of you think that 90% of all the Germans knew about the consentration camps?why?

I agree the Holocaust was really awful and I would have hated to be in any way involved.

I think that the Germans knew about i because of the way Hitler advertised it. Back then, it was a big thing in Germany and everywhere you went, you'd see signs and Nazis. I also think that 90 percent knew but, were afraid of telling.

Wow! That was really deep Max. I loved how you included yourself in the book. -Viv

I know all 90% of Germany lied because Hitler made every German family hang his picture up on their wall. Trust me, i had a german teacher last year (from Germany of course)- Viv

I think all 90% of the people knew about the concentration camps because Hitler "advertised" it as Ines said.

I could imagine how horrible that must feel and it did decrease the population of Jews.

i think that your opinion on how the nazi soldiers was great because you said about all those germans soldiers killing the jews and i liked your description about the chapters.

i think that they did because the nazis are saying that 9 out of 10 . I think that they did know because i think hitler told them becuse their apart of germany and that would make no sense if they didnt know and the nazis just started making consentration camps. so i think they deffinatley knew.
